On Tuesday March 11, 2025, Richard Kirk Mensah, Head of Corporate Communications
Ghana National Gas Company Limited, paid a significant courtesy call on the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah. The visit, which forms part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between regional leadership and national government bodies, focused on critical regional issues, including job creation for the youth and the promotion of sustainable mining practices.

“Yesterday, I visited the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah who is also the 5th-term Member of Parliament for Ellembelle”, Kirk-Mensah said.

A discussion on key regional Issues

During the meeting, Kirk-Mensah and Minister Buah delved into key topics affecting the Western Region. One of the central themes of the conversation was the urgent need for job creation for the youth in the area. With the region being rich in natural resources, the discussion also turned to the importance of fostering sustainable mining practices that will benefit both the environment and local communities. The Minister, who is also the 5th-term Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, expressed his commitment to finding solutions that will address these concerns and ensure a better future for the region.

“We discussed key issues affecting the Western Region, focusing on job creation for the youth and sustainable mining practices”, Kirk-Mensah expressed.
