Sing-a-thon: I’m yet to submit my attempt for recognition – Afua Asantewaa

Efua Asantewaa Owusu Aduonum, a Ghanaian individual, has made an impressive attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon. However, she has yet to submit her attempt for official recognition.

Efua Asantewaa recently explained during the 31st Watch Night service at the Potter’s City, led by Prophet Nanasei Opoku-Sarkodie at Prampram, that the judges and technical team have completed their work. They will soon submit the attempt for verification by the Guinness World Records before making an official announcement regarding her record-breaking feat.

Her sing-a-thon, which started on Christmas Eve, concluded on Friday, December 29, 2023, after an astonishing 126 hours and 52 minutes.

Throughout the event, Efua Asantewaa solely performed a variety of Ghanaian songs non-stop at the Akwaaba village. Many Ghanaians, including respected musicians and politicians, showed their support by visiting her. Furthermore, Efua Asantewaa has recently been appointed as a Tourism Ambassador.
