Social media users react to Bawumia-Napo ticket
Social media users have reacted to the announcement that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has chosen Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as his running mate. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has accepted this choice, but it still needs final approval from party council.
Some social media users expressed concerns about the combination of Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Opoku Prempeh, citing the latter’s perceived failures as Minister of Energy. They questioned whether this pairing would help NPP win the upcoming elections or if it would benefit their opponents, the NDC.
Reacting to this, some social media users said the combination of Napo and Dr. Bawumia will make the NDC win the elections easily because Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh failed as a Minister of Energy.
