Stephen Ntim and Nigeria’s APC Party officials meet
Stephen Ayesu Ntim, the National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), welcomed executives from the All Progressives Congress (APC) of Nigeria to the NPP’s headquarters in Accra on Thursday, March 7.
During a joint press conference with journalists, Mr. Ntim stated that the two parties have already engaged in productive discussions behind closed doors, with a promising outcome expected.
“The NPP and APC have held fruitful discussions, paving the way for cooperation and a promising future ahead. History is on the brink of repeating itself,” he announced.
Leading the APC delegation, National Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje highlighted the importance of strengthening the longstanding friendship between the two parties.
“We must nurture the unity and camaraderie that has been cultivated over the years as allies in advocating for press freedom and democratic justice. It is vital to solidify the historic ties between our parties that date back to the early days of independence,” he emphasized.
Ganduje expressed appreciation for Mr. Ntim’s visit to Nigeria, which was reciprocated by the APC, and encouraged the NPP to honor Ghana’s democratic pioneers and party founders.
Acknowledging the contributions of key individuals to Nigerian democracy and the growth of the APC, Ganduje praised their efforts.
Also in attendance were Hackman Owusu Agyemang, the Chairman of the NPP’s Council of Elders, Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo Markin, and other prominent party members.
