Non-governmental organization, The Lion Club has donated books and stationeries to Sakumono School Complex at Sakumono in Tema West Municipality , on Friday 30th July 2021.
The philanthropical club who is more concerned about peoples health and education, especially making sure nobody goes blind. Hence, organization of free eye screening in various communities for people to know their status and take precautionary measures.
They also helps schools within their communities by donating books and other learning materials which makes teaching and learning easy.
Today, the Sakumono School Complex got their share of books and the stationeries when the Lion Club visited. They first of all donated reading and text books to the school’s library, before donating exercise books and pens to the pupils.
The donations were received on behalf of the school by the Basic School Coordinator for Tema West Municipal Education Directorate, Nana Gyimah.
The two headmasters and their assistants were all present during the donation. They were very grateful to the club for their kind gesture and are hoping to receive more in the future.
