There are no political judges -SC nominee

Supreme Court nominee, Justice Henry Anthony Kwofie, has firmly denied the existence of politically biased judges within the Judiciary. With a long career spanning 25 years in the court, he confidently stated that he has never witnessed judges being swayed by political considerations. Justice Kwofie stressed the danger of spreading such narratives, as they can undermine the country’s democracy and the integrity of the Judiciary.

He urged Ghanaians to reject these claims, emphasizing that there are no political judges to be found. These remarks were made during the judge’s vetting by Parliament’s Appointments Committee on Wednesday, December 20, in response to a question from the Minority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.
