Thieves steal ¢50k, items from Dr. John Kumah’s home

On the evening of Friday, December 29, 2023, in Chantan, Greater Accra, the residence of Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah, the Deputy Minister for Finance and Member of Parliament for the Ejisu Constituency, fell victim to a forceful break-in.

The house was left unattended as the family was attending a church event in town. At 6:44 pm, burglars took advantage of the situation, making off with GH¢50,000 in cash, as well as household appliances and vital documents, such as passports and birth certificates belonging to the Deputy Minister’s wife.

A report has been duly filed at the Mile 7 Police Station to investigate this unfortunate crime.
