VRA Ladies Association pledges full support for Ing. Obeng-Kenzo
The Ladies Association of the Volta River Authority (VRA) has firmly rejected media reports claiming it disapproves of Ing. Edward Ekow Obeng-Kenzo’s appointment as Acting Chief Executive.
In a statement, Lady Susana Araphua Van-Brocke, the National President of the VRA Ladies Association, strongly denounced the reports, calling them unfounded and false. She made it clear that the Association distances itself from such misinformation.
Contrary to the claims, the Association has publicly congratulated Ing. Obeng-Kenzo on his new position and expressed full confidence in his leadership capabilities. A nine-member delegation from the Association’s national executive met with the Acting Chief Executive to personally assure him of their support and reaffirm their commitment to the success of the authority.
At the meeting, Lady Gloria Tagoe, the Accra Area President, emphasized the Association’s ongoing initiatives to empower and upskill women within the VRA, preparing them for leadership roles. She urged Ing. Obeng-Kenzo to support these efforts.
In response, Ing. Obeng-Kenzo thanked the Association for their warm welcome and assured them that he would build on the successes of his predecessor. He called for unity among all VRA staff, particularly the Ladies Association, to work together in achieving the authority’s goals and strengthening the institution.
