World Cup qualifier: Ghana paired against Nigeria
The final face of the 2022 World Cup qualifier in Africa has been done in Douala, Cameroon and Ghana will be renewing their rivalry against their neighbours Nigerian as they have been drawn to face each other.
The Black Stars of Ghana pipped South Africa in the last round of group matches to qualify for the final face of the qualifier.
Ghana was placed in port two because of their position in the FIFA world ranking, which means that they were likely to meet some of the top teams in Africa, like Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia, Nigeria, and Algeria.
The draw has been made and Ghana is facing the Super Green Eagles of Nigeria.
Nigerians have shown a glimpse of good football and have qualified to the round of 16 of the ongoing AFCON with hundred percent record. They will face off with Tunisia in the round 16.
Ghana on the other hand has been booted out with just a point and subsequently sacked their coach.
They are hoping to get a coach who will turn things around before the two-legged match in March.
Meanwhile, Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah will face off as Senegal and Egypt have been paired.
Other pairings, Mali Verse Tunisia, DR Congo and Morocco will battle it out, Cameroon and Algeria will face off.
