Zambia polls: Early voting records high turnout

Thurday early polls in Zambia recorded high turnout with aged-old senior citizens are defying all odds to cast their ballots, some of which were aided as they walk to participate in crucial polls at various polling stations.

It is important to anchor the point that the turn out in this years elections was massive, similar to the turn out in 2011.

The main battle is between the governing Patriotic Front (PF) and opposition United Party for National Development led by Hakainde Hichilema. Zambia has 7,023,499 registered voters.
