Shatta Prophecy: Christendom u-threat if police think prophecy is a crime- CCAG Prez

Concerned Clergy Association of Ghana, CCAG Leader, has cautioned the police to desist from classifying prophetic utterances as crimes.

Priest Prince Benny Wood said the boisterous conduct displayed by the police in the arrest of Jesus Ahuofe, Founder of New Life Kingdom Chapel International at the premises of Accra100.5FM added up to the continues threats to the church in Ghana.

He drew the attention of the police to anchor the point that the prophetic utterances are spiritual in nature and must be treated as such.

Talking on Accra100.5 FM’s morning show, Ghana Yensom, facilitated by Kwame Appiah Kubi on Thursday, 21 October 2021, Bishop Benny Wood said the police acted irresponsibly regarding the 28 September 2021 prediction of Jesus Ahuofe that dancehall artiste Shatta Wale would be shot dead on 18 October 2021 similarly as Lucky Dube was killed in South Africa.

“It isn’t clear what wrongdoing the minister carried out to warrant his persistent confinement in authority,” he said.

“In the event that the police, lately, consider prediction and disclosure a danger, Christian exercises, for example, evangelism among others are under genuine danger,” he added.

He expressed that going ahead, it will be hard for ministers to approach doing what they have been called to do and advised the security administration not to permit itself to be utilized to subvert the Christian confidence.
