Abronye’s wife eyes Ejisu parliamentary seat

Mrs. Portia Baffoe Abronye Acheampong, the wife of the NPP’s Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe Abronye, is vying for the Ejisu Parliamentary seat following the passing of Dr. John Kumah, the Member of Parliament for the area.

Campaign posters showcasing Mrs. Abronye have been spotted in the streets of Ejisu and its neighboring areas.

Mrs. Abronye is a Barrister and Solicitor at the Supreme Court of Ghana, with expertise in law. She is originally from Ejisu in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, and her roots trace back to the Royal Family of Ejisu.

The NPP has scheduled Saturday, April 13, 2024, as the date for the election of the Parliamentary Candidate for the Ejisu constituency by-election following the recent loss of the MP and Deputy Finance Minister, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah.

Interested candidates can obtain and submit their nomination forms between Tuesday, April 2, and Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the constituency party office. Aspiring candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of GHȼ3,000 in bankers draft made payable to the New Patriotic Party National Headquarters in Accra to procure Nomination Forms.
