Akufo-Addo appoints 3 justices to Supreme Court

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed three Court of Appeal Justices to join the revered Supreme Court bench.

The accomplished justices, namely Henry Anthony Cofie, Yaw Asare Darko, and Richard Agyei Frimpong, bring their wealth of experience and expertise to fill the vacancies left by the mandatory retirement of three justices from Ghana’s apex court.

Recognizing the importance of these positions, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joseph Osei-Owusu, has dutifully referred the matter to the Appointments Committee of Parliament. This committee will then meticulously evaluate the nominated justices and provide a comprehensive report on their approval to serve on the Supreme Court bench.
