Alan convenes summit on Ghana’s economy

In his speech at the National Economic Summit in Accra, John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, the leader of the Movement for Change, stressed the shared hope among Ghanaians for a national development plan that goes beyond political party manifestoes. He expressed concern that these manifestoes have hindered Ghana’s progress in the past.

Kyerematen recognized the abundance of human resources in Ghana, but lamented that partisan manifestoes have prevented their effective utilization for national development. In response, he announced the formation of a team of experts to work on a non-partisan national development plan, with the goal of promoting economic growth.

Kyerematen stated that this initiative aligns with his leadership’s comprehensive strategy, known as the Great Transformation Plan (GTP). He highlighted the National Economic Summit as a platform for discussing this new direction towards prosperity for all Ghanaians.

He emphasized the necessity of a collaborative and non-partisan approach in shaping Ghana’s developmental path.
