Comedian Hogan advises LGBTQ community at 1030 Laughs Show
At the just-ended 1030 Laughs, Ghana’s premier laugh show in its 30th edition powered by Charter House brought together people from all walks of life to be humored by comedians and serenaded to good music.
Comedian Hogan, one of the outstanding comics for the night shared a word of advice with the LGBTQ community on how to approach straight men.
While maintaining that he wasn’t homophobic, in a very humorous manner he advised gays to have codes of identification for their fellow gays in order to avoid running into problems with other straight guys, using his experience as a recent event he attended where a fight broke out between a straight guy and an LGBTQ member.
In a rib-cracking performance the Ghanaian-based Nigerian Comedian humored the audience with his experiences in Ghana, the current economic situation, and how it has humbled people across the world.
He brought his over a decade of experience on stage to bare as he carefully cracked the ribs of the audience. He particularly shared his experience in Kumasi during the last elections and advised the people of “kumerica” to get certain pronunciations right in order to avoid confusion.
Comedian Hogan who is not a new comer to the 1000 laugh series broke into limelight as a standup comedian in 2011, and performed on Charter house’s laugh series in 2011 and 2012 , and has since then been a delight to watch within the Corporate circles and on secular shows.
He premiered a sensational all pidgin comedy movie dubbed “Jacob” earlier 2019 which hosted thousands of patrons in the cinemas.
Comedian Hogan has rocked several big stages and worked with Africa’s celebrated comedians in Ghana, Nigeria and beyond. Not only is he a comic, but also a fine actor and a delight on the screens. He has featured in several movies and soaps.
The 1030 laughs took place in the bustling cosmopolitan capital of Ghana, Accra, the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre .
Other talented comedians and musicians who graced the stage were Nigerian comedians Bright Okpocha, known as Basketmouth, Gordons, MC Danfo Afia Barcelona, OB Amponsah, Lekzy Decomics. Musicians such as Nacee and Cina Soul serenaded the audience with their melodious tunes.
