Ghana Gas CEO engages MMDCEs from project-affected areas in W/R
CEO hosts strategic meeting in Takoradi
On Friday, 22nd August 2025, the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Gas Company Limited, Ms. Judith Adjobah Blay, held a high-level stakeholder engagement meeting with Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) from project-affected areas within the Western Region. The meeting took place in Takoradi, the regional capital, signaling a renewed focus on deepening collaboration between Ghana Gas and local government authorities.
Targeted districts represented
The event brought together key leadership from several districts that host or are impacted by Ghana Gas operations. These included Ellembelle, Prestea Huni-Valley, Nzema East, Shama, and the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly. Chief Executives and Coordinating Directors from these jurisdictions participated in the dialogue, aimed at strengthening ties and addressing development priorities.
Collaborative development at the forefront
Ms. Blay emphasized the crucial role that stakeholder engagement plays in the company’s mission, especially as Ghana Gas enters a new phase under her leadership. She noted that the company remains committed to not only fulfilling its core mandate in the energy sector but also contributing meaningfully to community development.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Blay highlighted the importance of mutual understanding and strategic partnerships between Ghana Gas and local assemblies. “When we work together—state agencies and local authorities—we can drive more sustainable growth in our host communities,” she said. The session allowed for open discussions on pressing local needs, project impact, and how best Ghana Gas can align its support with district development agendas.
