GPL 2021-2022 Fixtures: Hearts title defence begins with City rivals Legon Cities, Kotoko will travel to Dawu to face Dreams FC and some mouthwatering fixtures in week one.
2021-2022 Ghana premier league season will begin on the 29th October 2021, with the defending champions Hearts of Oak beginning their title defence with a tricky fixture against City rivals, Legon Cities at Accra Sports Stadium, while Kumasi Asante Kotoko will travel to Dawu to face Dreams FC which promises to be a difficult start for Prosper Nerteh Ogum in his quest to clinch the title.
Meanwhile, the newly promoted sides will have some hard nuts to crack in their week one fixture, Accra Lions will battle it with Elmina Sharks at home, Bibiani God Star will also face off with Berekum Chelsea at home, while returnees Real Tamale United will face the Wonder boys, Accra great Olympics at home.
The much anticipated super clash between Kotoko and Hearts will see the first league in Accra Stadium in week 7 while the return league will be week 24 at Kumasi.
The Accra derby between Accra Hearts of Oak and Accra Great Olympics dubbed Ga Mashie derby will be played in week 16 and week 33.
