Ghana set to participate in 2025 Global Open Government Partnership Summit in Spain
Delegation to promote transparency, accountability, and innovation in governance
The Government of Ghana, through the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Ghana Office under the auspices of the Public Sector Reform Secretariat, has announced its official participation in the 2025 OGP Global Summit scheduled to take place from October 7 to 9, 2025, in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain.
World leaders to convene for open governance reforms
The summit is expected to draw together Heads of State, Senior Government Officials, Civil Society Leaders, and global partners to engage in high-level discussions on strengthening open governance. The forum will serve as a platform for countries to share experiences, exchange best practices, and assess progress on their National Action Plans.
High-level Ghanaian delegation to attend
Ghana’s delegation will be led by Hon. Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba (MP) and Minister of State in charge of Public Sector Reforms, alongside Hon. Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration). The team will also include Members of Parliament, sector ministers, public officials, and civil society leaders.
This inclusive representation highlights Ghana’s commitment to ensuring diverse voices are heard in shaping governance policies at both national and international levels.
