No PSB meeting held in Dubai- Bagbin’s office

Office of the Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament has debunked reports alleging that there was a meeting of the Parliamentary Service Board (PSB) in Dubai during the Rt. Hon. Speaker’s recent medical review.

A statement signed and issued by the Speaker’s Communication Manager, Peter Bamfo, revealed there has not been such meeting of the PSB in Dubai held at the instance and convenience of the Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin.

He noted that the Paliametary Service Board participated in an international workshop and team-building exercise by the Crown Agents in Dubai.

According to the statement, the arrangement for the workshop predated the Speaker’s medical trip to Dubai.

The statement further noted that “It was initially planned for April 2021 and was finally held in September 2021. It had to be postponed a couple of times due to time constraints and availability of members of the PSB. Consequently, the workshop and the Speaker’s medical trip had nothing in common”.

The Speaker spent two weeks for medical review in Dubai.
