NPP won’t be a disruptive opposition -Bawumia

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has assured Ghanaians that his party will work collaboratively with the newly elected administration and will not engage in disruptive opposition.

His statement comes after provisional results from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) indicated a decisive victory, reflecting the electorate’s desire for a change in leadership with an emphasis on transparency and accountability.

Following his official concession in the presidential race, Dr. Bawumia addressed the nation, underscoring that while the NPP would critically assess the government’s policies and actions, it would not resort to obstructive tactics.

He expressed confidence that NPP Members of Parliament would contribute positively to the country’s democracy and work to ensure that Ghanaians benefit from the democratic process.

“We will not be a disruptive opposition. While we will closely scrutinize the government’s policies in the best interest of our nation, our MPs are committed to playing a constructive role in advancing our democracy and ensuring that the citizens get the most out of our democratic system,” he stated.
