South Dayi MP apologises to Asamoah Gyan

The Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor, has issued an apology to former Ghana international, Asamoah Gyan, for suggesting that Gyan intentionally missed a penalty in 2010 to make the NDC unpopular.

Dafeamekpor had previously implied that Gyan’s missed penalty against Uruguay in the 2010 FIFA World Cup was due to his political affiliation with the NPP. However, following criticism for his comments, Dafeamekpor has apologized to Gyan.

In a statement on his X page, Dafeamekpor expressed regret for his remarks and apologized to Gyan. Gyan, on the other hand, stated that he is not bothered by criticism for joining the NPP campaign team for the 2024 elections.
