Volta police arrests 3 for killing a man & selling dead body GHS7,000

Three suspects are currently in the grips of the Volta Regional Police Command for alledged killing of a man and attempting to sell his body at 7, 000 Ghana cedis (GHC 7,000).

Kalefe Korku, 42; Afedo Kpotor, 21; and Ametoke Sitsofe, 27, were roundedup in their attempt to sell the body of the homicide casualty, 30-year-old Albert Anyinado, to a fetish priest at Agbozume.

The police got insight of the arrangement and went secret by pretending to be interested in the body, bargaining to purchase the body at GHS7,000.

The meeting was set for a spot called Agavedzi closed to a tidal pond for the exchange.

Be that as it may, the suspects deserted the body and rushed after seeing the police at the gathering point.

They were sought after and captured in their homes at Agavedzi, Agbozume and Adina.

The body has been stored at Ketu South Municipal Hospital mortuary anticipating clinical examination.

The three suspects rounded up at Agavedzi, Agbozume and Adina are presently in in the custody of the Volta Regional Command pending further investigations and process for court.
