We’ll revive abandoned cocoa roads -Prof. Opoku-Agyemang

The Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has vowed that a future NDC administration will revive all cocoa road projects currently abandoned by the government. During a rally in Datano, part of her three-day campaign tour in the Western North Region, she voiced her disappointment with the government’s decision to cease these essential projects.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang criticized the government for not releasing a promised report on the status of cocoa roads, after previously accusing the Mahama administration of mismanaging them.

She assured supporters that the NDC, under John Dramani Mahama’s leadership, would not only finish the neglected cocoa road projects but also reinstate important programs to support cocoa farmers. This includes reviving the free fertilizer initiative and ensuring fair producer prices for cocoa.

She urged voters to back John Mahama and NDC parliamentary candidates in the upcoming December elections, promising that an NDC government would focus on improving the lives of cocoa farmers and advancing the party’s development agenda for the region.
