Zambia polls: Gov’t shutdowns social media- WhatsApp, Twitter

Government of Zambia has totally shutdown social media Apps including Whatsapp and Twitter on the day of Presidential Elections.

The development which has left Zambians in dismay and talking is without explanation from government

With government unilaterally taking of social media on election day without giving any reason for the its strange action, Zambians are becoming more more anxious as to why this is happening in democratic Zambia.

This is the first time that the social media platforms have been absolutely shutdown on the ofgeneral elections.

In view of this, most Zambians have since resorted to the use of the VPN to keep in touch in the situational reports from polling stations.
