2 Armed robbers raped me in my kitchen, I’m now on HIV treatment — MzBel
“I was sexually raped by two armed robbers in my kitchen, and my bedroom and now I am undergoing HIV treatment “, Ghanaian Highlife Vocalist MzBel has revealed.
During an interview on the Longest Interview Marathon with Bra Emma, Ghaianan Musician MzBel shared a terrifying experience she had when a masked intruder broke into her home. Initially asleep, she woke up to the intruder demanding money. After complying and showing him where it was, he then instructed her to lie down. MzBel was sexually assaulted by the robber on her bed, and another gang member assaulted her in the kitchen, along with everyone else in the house that day.
In the aftermath, MzBel and the others sought medical help at the SSNIT Hospital in Osu, where they underwent HIV testing and received treatment as a precaution. Despite the arrests of the perpetrators, MzBel revealed that they died while in prison serving their sentences at Nsawam.
