Ayew Brothers still committed to Black Stars, ignore exit rumours- Spokesperson

The Ayew Family Spokesman, Fiifi Tackie, has debunked multiple reports that Black Stars Captain Andre Ayew and his Brother Jordan Ayew have quit the Black Stars on his social media handles.

There were multiple reports from the local media that the Ayew brothers have resigned from the Black Stars, due to unwarranted criticism from Ghanaians during and after the African Cup of Nations ( AFCON).

Ghana was booted out of the AFCON without a win in a group that has Morocco, Gabon and Comoros.

Many Ghanaias have singled out the Ayew brothers for chastising. And some feels that may led to them quitting the Black Stars.

Their spokesperson in a tweet says he spoke to them on phone and they appear to be calm and more committed for the course of the Black Stars

” Andrè and Jordan Ayew are still very committed to the Black Stars team as they have always been. They will keep donning the Black Stars jersey to represent Ghana and give the team their very best on and off the pitch, as always. We just got off the phone”

Meanwhile, Andre Ayew will be unavailable for the world cup playoff with Nigeria in March this year after seeing red in the Match Against Comoros in the AFCON.
