Ejura Clash is an intelligence failure- Prof. Aning

Director of Academic Affairs at KAIPC is questioning the professional competence of security officers involved in the clash with civilians at Ejura Sekyere-Odumsi in the Ashanti Region.

Four Ejura residents were shot leading to the death of two with others sustaining severe gunshot injuries during a protest after the brutal murder of firebrand #FixTheCountry Activist Ibrahim Mohammed popularly known as Kaaka. This was upon firing of live bullets into civilian protestors by security officials.

In a sharp reaction to the Ejura residents-police riots on Joy News on Tuesday 29 June 2021, the renowned Security Expert Prof. Anning insists “the incidence is an intelligence failure”.

Prof. Anning noted that “Action of security officials raises serious concerns about their professionalism. Frustration of civilians are gradually increasing “.

“When civilians decides to fight against the state, it’s a danger and has a possibility of spreading”, he said.
