Treat #FixTheCountry petition on Kaaka serious- Prof. Anning to IGP
Director of Academic Affairs at Kofi Annan International Peace Keeping Training Centre (KAIPC) Prof. Kwesi Anning has urged IGP James Boanu to treat a petition brought to his attention by #FixTheCountry Campaigners.
The campaigners have already petitioned following the murder of Kaaka, a strong member of the campaigners.
Speaking on Kaaka’s murder, Convener of #FixTheCountry, and University of Cambridge Researcher Oliver Barker-Vormawor said “We presented our letter to the police and we’re demanding his resignation”
Contributing to the debate, Prof. Anning said “I hope that somebody will read your petition to the IGP and act on it”.
Prof. Anning noted that “People of Ejura wanted for empathy. Something must be done to reduce the angry of Ejura residents because pain, frustrations and emotions are rising”.
