FIFA DC to probe South African and Ghana match

World governing football body FIFA has issued a statement indicating receipt of a protest filed by the South Africa Football Association about the match between South Africa and Ghana in Cape Coast, Ghana stating it will be forwarded to the Disciplinary Committee on 23rd November, for them to begin hearing on the matter.

Ghana defeated South Africa in a last group world cup qualifier match to top group G, to qualify ahead of South Africa. The Ghanaian Captain Andre Ayew 32nd minutes penalty was enough to take the stars through.

The South Africans who were aggrieved with most of the decisions by the referee including the penalty call filed a protest for FIFA to look into the match.

FIFA in their release stated the case el be forwarded to the disciplinary Committee to begin hearing on 23rd November 2021.

They are also calling on Ghana Football Association(GFA) to furnish them with any documents they deemed necessary for the case by the 20th of November.

Meanwhile, Ghana has been placed in pot 2 and could face any of the toughest opponents in Africa; Senegal, Algeria, Morocco, Nigerian, and Tunisia.
