FIFA WC qualifiers: Ghana beats Zimbabwe 3:1 at Cape Coast

Ghana Black Stars are creating a near tie at the top of Group G after hammering Worriors of Zimbabwe 3 :1 as part of Qarta 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The first half of the game ended in 1:1 draws between the two teams but saw Black Stars of Ghana puting up splendid performance in the second half, scoring additional 2 goals by Thomas Partey and Captain Dede Ayew who stamped the victory with the final goal just before the referee drew the curtain on the match.

With this victory, Black Stars now have 6 marks on occupying second position on Group G after South Africa’s 7 marks followed by Ethiopia’s 3 marks with one other.

South African has maintained topmost spot in Group G after beating Ethiopia.

Meanwhile, Head Coach of Ghana Black Stars Milovan Rajevac has expressed happiness about the team’s 3:1 win against Zimbabwe.

For his part, Thomas Partey who scored the timely in today’s Ghana-Zimbabwe clash said he is battle-ready to play any position within the Black Stars.
