I’ll go after EC officials engaged in rigging- Special Prosecutor

Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng says electoral officials who engaged in rigging of elections will not be left off the hook, adding that his office will prosecute persons who breach electoral laws of Ghana.

Speaking in an interview monitored by African Editors on Wednesday 30 September 2021 in Accra, the Criminal Law Expert Kissi Agyebeng said “I will go after EC officers engaged in rigging
It’s under the mandate of the OSP. Immediately you declare result, I’m calling for it and I’m matching from polling station to polling station what you have done and if I find a discrepancy, then you should be telling me why transferance from the pink to the blue sheets, there is a gap and immediately you are not offering a reasonable excuse, I’m prosecuting you. It’s not MPs who should be going to court when it unreasonably go against them at polling stations “.

The University of Ghana School of Criminal Law Lecturer Kissi Agyebeng noted that “If you don’t know me and you draft something and put it out there and people believe you, that’s your own case “. But, you would have to tell me why the results on the pink and blue sheets can’t be the same. If you don’t, I’m matching you for prosecution “.
