Make vocational training priority- Zongo Chief to govt

Government has been encouraged to focus on engaging Zongo youth with professional abilities to set up their own business.

The representative for the Ashanti Regional Zongo Chief, Shaibu M.B Suleman, said the professional abilities will assist with setting up the young ones with employable abilities to likewise prepare others.

Shaibu noticed that albeit the central government is offering grants to some Zongo youth to proceed with their schooling to become lawyers, doctors among others, professional abilities ought to be focused on by the book runners of the state.

He said this during the finish of preparing and issuance of authentications to about 50 Zongo youth from Aboabo who were prepared with business venture abilities under the UpShift Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation Training project coordinated by Kumasi Hive in a joint effort with Unicef and Upshift Ghana.

The venture was pointed toward engaging the Zongo Youth for business and local area improvement.

The Project Operations Leader, Priscilla Serwah Gyasi, clarified the point behind the venture.

Shaibu recognized the coordinators for engaging the Zongo youth with the abilities that will assist them with setting up a good foundation for themselves.
