MIllions of fans troop to Dakar to welcome AfCON 2021 Champions

Millions of Senegalese trooped the the Nations Capital Dakar to give a heroic welcome to team for winning the African Cup Of Nation for first time after two failed attempts.

The Teranga Lions of Senegal on Sunday defeated the Pharaohs of Egypt 4-2 in penalty shoot out to win their first ever AFCON trophy.

Senegal first went to AFCON final in 2002 in Mali, but lost to Cameroon on penalty shootout.

In 2019, they again lost to Algeria in the final.
They have been third time lucky after a hungry and determined Senegal team led by Sadio Mane defeated Egypt to make history.

Millions of fans back home today troopped to the nations capital to welcome the team and catch glimpse of the trophy, since it’s their first ever win.
