No Ghanaian affected by UK protest –High Commissioner to UK

The Ghanaian community in the UK has not been significantly affected by the protests, according to Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK, Papa Owusu Ankomah. Despite the unrest stemming from an anti-immigrant campaign following a tragic incident in Southport, which resulted in the deaths of three children, Ghanaians have largely remained safe. While there was one reported incident of a Ghanaian feeling threatened on a bus, no other negative incidents have been reported. Efforts are being made to ensure the safety of the Ghanaian community, with officials in contact with community leaders for updates. Ghanaians have been advised to stay indoors by 7 pm and avoid protest areas to minimize any potential risks.
