Police stops anti-e-levy protestors at Obra Spot

African Editors’ (AE) sources have confirmed that Ghana Police Service has currently stopped the leaders of the planned demonstration against the controversial E-Levy Bill from the starting until after 9:30.

NDC members and other members of the coalition who have massed up on the grounds are currently facing challenges on the starting time with the police who are claiming that we will arrive at Parliament house too early if we have to move now

They are with the pretext that, there is the funeral of a statesman, Hon Kofi Adda ongoing at the Parliament house.

The general secretary who has taken advantage of the waiting period to talk to the teaming supporters has assured Ghanaians through the media that in the unlikely event that the E-levy is passed, the NDC government will abolish it in their first 100 days in office.

Meanwhile, anti-e-levy protestors are still charged on the grounds waiting for the train to move.
