Celebrating a milestone
Majority of the financial crime experts and due diligence professionals in the banking sector in Ghana, and in many other places in the world, are my professional colleagues or mentees, people who have shared the same platform with me, learnt the tradecraft from me or have encountered me in their professional careers.

Through this initiative, and many others in similar manner, Ghana, Africa, and the world had tremendously gained favourable results, businesses and enterprises were duly prevented from exposures (vulnerabilities), and financial sector institutions have also been saved from financial crime, and related criminal activities.

Celebrating this milestone, it’s also important to celebrate Mr. Richard Nii Lante Blankson (may your gentle rest in perfect peace), and Mr. Samuel Thompson Essel, who have over the years, played important roles in my life’s journey, created the enabling environment for me to succeed. These two wonderful mentors (fatherly counsellors) were helpful, and very encouraging, especially in critical moments when I needed a helping hand, and a solid stronger shoulder to lean on.

My sister, Dr. Bernardette Hoffman has been my pillar, strategic partner, and very astronomical, ensuring, the rightful, and professional avenues and platforms were made available to me, at all times, and at all places.

Not forgetting, the Ghana Compliance Association platform, National Banking College, Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAG), and many local and international platforms.

A very thank you, to you all.

We can only thank God for strength, and pray for the determination to do more, for humanity and strategic leading institutions.

There is a good reason why you should support the African Editors. Not everyone can afford to pay for news right now. That is why we keep our journalism open for everyone to read, including in Ghana. If this is you, please continue to read for free. But if you are able to, then there are three good reasons to support us today.

1. Our quality, journalism is a scrutinising force at a time when the rich and powerful are getting away with more and more.

2. We are independent and have no billionaire owner pulling the strings, so your money directly powers our reporting.

3. It doesn’t cost much, and takes less time than it took to read this message.

Help power the African Editors' journalism for the years to come, whether with a small sum or a larger one. If you can, please support us on a monthly basis from just 1 Ghana Cedi through mobile money number: 0599896099/ +23359989609 and you can be rest assured that you’re making a big impact every single month in support of open, independent journalism. Thank you.
