Sack Osei-Mensah, DSP Hammond over Ejura killings- NDC
National Democratic Congress is demanding the immediate dismissal of Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei-Mensah and Ejura Regional Police Commander DSP Philip Kojo Hammond over the shootings and killings of unarmed civilians at Ejura.
According to National Communication Officer of the NDC Sammy Gyamfi, the Regional Minister exhibited no Start slideshow judgement in the deployment of police and military to shoot and kill Ejura unarmed civilians.
He told the media that “It’s our considered view that the findings of the committee is a speculative conjecture and falsehood. We support the position of the Kaaka’s Family”.
For NDC “Errand soldiers led by Lt. Matthew Opoku Aduse must be prosecuted for killing innocent civilians”.
Gyamfi noted that “We in the NDC hold the view that the reckless Simon Osei-Mensah, Ashanti Regional Minister and Ejura Regional Police Commander DSP Philip Kojo Hammond must be sacked including other military commanders involved, whose actions led to the killing of innocent Ejura residents”.
Meanwhile, the family of Kaaka is accusing the police of dragging their feet on their attempt to table the family’s concerns before them on Kaaka’s death.
For the Family, “They are disappointed in the police who continue to drag their feet on Kaaka’s investigation. They’ve done nothing. We’re not happy about the police. 3 months after his desth, the police is no coming to the crime scene”.
