Sekondi High Court: Update on Jomoro election petition

MP for Jomoro Hon. Dorcas Affo Toffey together with her lawyer Godwin Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo were in court as early as 8:30am.

However the proceedings started 10min after 9am. The lawyer for the 1st respondent applicant moved the motion for the court to grant the MP permission to amend the answers she had earlier filed.

Remember in the previous sitting, the same court didn’t grant the application because the court said we had not complied with court orders.
The MP’s lawyers had complied with the court orders early this month, it was in view of the compliance of the court orders that we moved the motion again.

The court presided by Justice Dr. Richmond Osei-Hwere after listening to arguments from both sides granted the application for our MP to amend her Answers to include the Ivorian law.

The MP was accompanied in court by the Western Regional communication officer, Mr Richard Kirk-mensah, Deputy regional secretary Mr Charles Kojo Adu-Fordjour, Deputy Jomoro Constituency communication Emmanuel Benle and the entire Jomoro Constituency executives.
