World Cup 2022 qualifier: NSA, GFA clash over ticketing & media accreditation

The managers of sports facilities in Ghana, National Sports Authority( NSA), and the managers of the Black Stars, Ghana Football Association (GFA) are in a tug of war over who to print tickets and issues media accreditations for the world cup qualifying match against Zimbabwe at Cape Coast on Saturday.

Ghana Black Stars are set to play their second home match of the world cup qualifying campaign against the Warriors of Zimbabwe on Saturday 9th October 2021.

The GFA has indicated they are responsible for the printing of match tickets and media accreditations.

The managers of the facilities NSA has countered their claims with strong words, stating categorically that, no media person or a fan will be allowed into the stadium without accreditation or tickets bearing the stamp of NSA.

The GFA also in strong words indicated their readiness to move the match from Cape Coast stadium to privately managed facilities like Len Clay Stadium at Obuasi.

There a saying, when two elephants fight, the ground suffers. Ahead of the crucial world cup qualifiers for the Black Stars, two major stakeholders are fighting over something that can easily be resolved with dialogue. Media houses are now discussing these petty issues rather than focusing on the match.

Meanwhile, Ghana is still second behind South Africa in the group with three points.
