At a distinguished gathering of scholars, practitioners, and students, Ghana’s Vice President, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, paid glowing tribute to veteran lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata for his enduring influence on the country’s legal landscape. The occasion was the UPSA Law School honourific lecture and awards ceremony, held on 15 April 2026 under the theme “Celebrating the Lifetime Achievements of Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata.” The event brought together members of the legal fraternity to reflect on Tsikata’s decades-long contribution to jurisprudence and public discourse. Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice President described it as a privilege to honour a figure whose work has left a deep imprint on national thought.

According to Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, Tsikata’s impact goes far beyond legal wins in courtrooms.
