AFCON final: host Cote D’ivoire to play Nigeria tonight
The Africa Cup of Nations will come to an end on Sunday, with either Ivory Coast or Nigeria being crowned champions. The Ivorians are aiming for their third title, while the Nigerians are looking to win their fourth. This will be the second time the teams meet in this tournament, with Nigeria winning the previous encounter.
The Ivorians are the first host nation to reach the final since 2006, and history shows that the hosts usually go on to win. However, Nigeria is currently ranked higher than Ivory Coast. Nigeria has been impressive throughout the tournament, winning all their games and only conceding two goals.
On the other hand, Ivory Coast had a rocky start but managed to make a comeback in the knockout stages. The final is expected to be a thrilling match and a great end to the tournament.
