Fella Makafui is no more my wife, we’re co-parenting –Medikal

Ghanaian Rapper Medikal has announced his separation from his wife, Fella Makafui, who is an actress and entrepreneur. In a tweet on Saturday, March 30, Medikal clarified that Fella is now his child’s mother, and they are co-parenting their daughter, Island Frimpong.

The rapper’s tweet was prompted by a post by a user that wrongly identified Fella Makafui as his wife. Medikal tweeted, “Fella is no longer my wife, she is my child’s mother. We are co-parenting now, and everything is fine.”

Following this announcement, Medikal has been a hot topic on social media, with many fans shocked by news of their divorce. Speculations about their separation had circulated last year, but neither party had confirmed it publicly until Medikal’s tweet.

The couple has unfollowed each other on Instagram, and Fella Makafui has adjusted her username to remove “Mrs. Frimpong.” Additionally, a post from Medikal on Saturday, March 30, revealed that he has been blocked by Fella Makafui on X.

In the past, Medikal had hinted at a potential divorce, emphasizing that marriage isn’t suitable for a creative individual like himself. Their lavish wedding took place in 2020, and their daughter, Island Frimpong, is set to turn four in August this year.
