Sad News: Tributes pour in as Ex-Kototo Defender dies at 41

Kumasi Asante Kotoko has tweeted and confirmed the sad news that hit the football fraternity, ex-defender Godfred Yeboah popularly called TV3 has died in the early hours of Tuesday 3rd August 2021, at the Sunyani Regional Hospital

Yeboah, who reportedly has been unwell for months now, but was hoping to overcome but couldn’t survive.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko took to Twitter to announced the demise of their ex-player and also extends their condolences to the family and friends.

“We’re saddened to hear of the passing of Godfred Yeboah who represented us from 2001 to 2009. His passion for the club was undeniable and he will be missed.We send our condolences to his family, friends, and everyone who cherished him. #AKSC #KotokoCares #RIPTV3″

Yeboah played for Kotoko between 2001 to 2009 with many success . He was part of the squad that broke the 10years trophy drought for Kotoko in 2003 and two other league trophies in the 2005 and 2007-2008 seasons and also winning FA Cup in 2001.

He also got the opportunity to feature for the Black Star in three matches including 2006 world cup qualify match between DR Congo which ended goalless.

Many have taken to social media to extend their condolences to his family. But its unclear the illness has been battling with which caused his demise.
