Video: Ex-Nigeria’s Footballer mocks Ghana over struggle for fit-for-purpose stadium
Ex Nigeria Footballer, Daniel Amokachi has taken Ghanaians to the cleanest over Ghana’s inability to produce a stadium that meets FIFA’s standard for a World Cup playoffagainst Nigeria.
Ghana will be renewing their rivalry with West African opponent Nigeria in a two-legged world cup playoff match on 27th and 29th March.
Ghana will first host Nigeria before traveling to Nigeria for the make-or-break match.
Unfortunately, Ghana is struggling to get a stadium befitting to host a world cup.
FIFA has rejected Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi, the nations Wembley Accra stadium and the latest been Cape Coast stadium which was deemed fit for the match, but after independence day celebration, it has not been the same.
Daniel Amokachi took video of himself in a stadium earmarked to host the match saying that stadium is fit and ready to host the match against Ghana.
“We are at Moshood Abiola stadium, we are all ready, look at how beautiful the stadium is, look at how beautiful the pitch, we are all ready. But some people are still looking for a venue, some are still under confusion, you know who I’m talking about” he says.
Sports Journalists Saddict Adams in tweets stated that Ghana may be forced by FIFA to Choose either Burkina Faso or Morocco stadium to play their home match against Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Ghana has still not released the squad for the world cup qualifying match against the Nigerians.
The information from the GFA says they don’t won’t their opponent to monitor the players.
