We’ll pull you out of premature retirement –MP to Gabby

Rockson Nelson-Dafeamekpor, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for South Dayi Constituency in the Volta Region has expressed his surprise at Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko’s decision to retire from local politics within the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP). The South Dayi MP promised to keep Gaby awake on domestic politics signaling premature retirement of the NPP influencer.

In a post dated January 31, 2024 on X, the MP stated that they plan to bring Gabby out of what they consider to be a “premature retirement”.

According to the MP, Gabby Otchere-Darko has unfinished business in Ghanaian politics, and they are determined to extend his involvement in domestic affairs.

The post from the MP read, “The decision to retire is highly intriguing. We intend to pull you out of your early retirement and extend your involvement in domestic politics. Our agenda is far from complete, senior.”

This statement suggested that the MP sees Gabby’s retirement as premature, believing there is more for him to contribute to the political landscape in Ghana.
