A/R: Juaben installs new Akyempemhene

The Kingmakers of Juaben Traditional Area in the Ashanti Region have installed Nana Yaw Sarpong Siriboe as Akyempemhene for the Area.

The enstoolment and coronation ceremony took place at the period his father, the Omanhene (Paramount Chief) of Juaben Traditional Area Nana Otu Siriboe is celebrating 50th Anniversary as the Omanhene of Juaben Traditional Area.

Speaking to African Editors after the enstoolment and coronation ceremony at Kumasi on Thursday 2 September 2021, Juaben Akyempemhene Nana Yaw Sarpong Siriboe who expressed happiness and joy about the traditional gathering, said “I will put the interests of Juaben first in all my  dealings in accordance with the developmental agenda of the area”.

I’ll serve Juaben in truth and honesty- Akyempemhene

Juaben Akyempemhene Nana Yaw Sarpong Siriboe has pledged to serve his people in truthfulness and honesty aimed at fostering development of the traditional area.

He stated that “I will serve the people of Juaben the same way Omanhene of Juaben Nana Otu Siriboe served them to help the development of Juaben area. Nana Otu Siriboe, I will not let you down for the honour bestowed on me and confidence reposed in me “.

Akyempemhene Nana Yaw Sarpong Siriboe noted that “I will use my knowledge and strength to help Juaben, serve in truthfulness and honesty for the progress of Juaben and Asante Kingdom. I’ll respond to your calls everytime, everyday whether afternoon or night. I will never ignore your calls”.

Educational background

Akyempemhene Nana Yaw Sarpong Siriboe holds Masters in Business Administration (MBA) (Logistics and Supply Chain Option) from School of Business Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, September 2006-May 2008.

Apart from that, he holds Diploma in Human Resources Management  Diploma  in Management from the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM). Bournemouth, England
June 2006.

He also holds Bsc. in Mechanical Engineering (2nd Class Honours, Lower Division) still from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, 1999-2003

He attended Presbyterian Boys Secondary School (PRESEC), Legon
1995-1997, WAEC SSCE

Work experience

Since January 2007 Akyempemhene Nana Yaw Siriboe has been the Supply Chain Manager of Juaben Oil Mills Ltd.

In his capacity as Supply Chain Manager, he works and plays many roles such inbound and outbound Logistics, operations Management, stores and inventory management safety, health and environment, quality assurance in service training.

From February 2005 to January 2007, he was Engineer for Juaben Oil Mills Ltd. Working as an Engineer, he discharged responsibilities including schedule of maintenance activities, setting and monitoring of production targets, production quality control.

Prior to the above, he was a National Service Personnel at Kumasi Polytechnic from July 2003-July 2004 during which he was in charge of installation, implementation and monitoring a Library Software for their new Library.

Nana is the founder and CEO of Siriboe Farms Ltd. He has effectively and efficiently managed the farm to win the following major awards;

2019 1st Runner Up. National Best Farmer. Ghana

2016 1st Runner Up. Regional Best Farmer, Ashanti Region

2015 1st Regional Oil Palm Farmer, Ashanti Region

2014 1st Municipal Best Farmer, Ejusu Juaben Municipal.

His hobbies are farming and reading.

Akyempemhene Nana Yaw Sarpong Siriboe is a son of Juaben Omanhene Nana Otu Siriboe II and currently celebrating his 50th Anniversary.

Nana Otuo Siriboe is a Ghanaian Traditional Ruler, Electrical Engineer and Entrepreneur. He is the Omanhene of the Juaben Traditional Council. He has served in several capacities in chieftaincy affairs and held many Government of Ghana appointments. He has been Chairman of Council of State since 2016, Ghana.
