CAF CL: Don’t write Hearts off at Casablanca- Akambe speaks

Board Member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Alhaji Akambe has shot high the hopes of Hearts fans as the prepare for the return encounter of the Champions League against Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) in Casablanca by saying they can equally beat them just as they did in Accra.

Sunday, Hearts defied all odds and piped an in form WAC at the Accra Stadium by Isaac Mensah’s only goal.

Hearts after a sluggish start into the matche, they came in strongly and created many goal-scoring opportunities, but couldn’t make good use of it.

Many fears with just a goal up going into the second league it will be difficult just as pushing an Elephant through a needle.

But excited Alhaji Akambe who spoke on Asempa FM sports, has encouraged the phobians not to worry because they can travel to Casablanca and kick WAC out of the competition.

“We have beaten them here, we can travel there and best them again”

He also said they have begun their preparation towards the Moroccan trip.

The return league fixture will take place on Sunday 24th October 2021 at Casablanca.
