Check out educational backgrounds of world’s top billionaires

Warren Buffett was challenged by Elon Musk to consider the educational backgrounds of the wealthiest billionaires worldwide. These billionaires are not only extremely wealthy, but also highly accomplished and intelligent individuals.

It is interesting to note that while some of these billionaires have impressive educational backgrounds, others made the decision to drop out of school. Elon Musk, for example, completed his bachelor’s degrees at the University of Pennsylvania before leaving Stanford University’s PhD program after just two days to start his own business.

Bernard Arnault obtained his bachelor’s degree in engineering and mathematics from École Polytechnique, one of France’s top engineering schools. Jeff Bezos holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in computer science and electrical engineering from Princeton University.

Bill Gates began his Harvard journey as a pre-law student but quickly excelled in mathematics and computer science before dropping out to establish Microsoft. Mark Zuckerberg similarly left Harvard to focus on developing Facebook while studying computer science and psychology.

As for Warren Buffett himself, he initially studied business at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School before transferring to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in business administration. He later went on to graduate from Columbia Business School with a Master of Science in economics.

There is a good reason why you should support the African Editors. Not everyone can afford to pay for news right now. That is why we keep our journalism open for everyone to read, including in Ghana. If this is you, please continue to read for free. But if you are able to, then there are three good reasons to support us today.

1. Our quality, journalism is a scrutinising force at a time when the rich and powerful are getting away with more and more.
