Dr. John Kumah’s Wife drags Captain Smart to police

Widow of the late John Kumah, Apostle Mrs. Lilian Kumah, has dragged Onua TV Presenter Captain Smart to the Ghana Police Service demanding further and better particulars over claims of food poisoning of her late husband. This comes after Captain Smart allegedly made statements regarding the health struggles of the deceased Deputy Finance Minister.

On February 21, 2024, Onua TV aired a video in which Captain Smart claimed that the Deputy Finance Minister was severely affected by food poisoning, suggesting that other politicians may have been targeted as well. He also raised concerns about potential plots to harm or defame individuals with political, religious, and business ties, causing anxiety among the public and political stakeholders.

In her police complaint, Mrs. Kumah criticized Captain Smart’s allegations as misleading and unfortunate, further adding to the pain of the late John Kumah’s family.

John Kumah, who served as the Member of Parliament for Ejisu and Deputy Finance Minister, passed away on March 7, 2024, with the cause of death not yet disclosed to the public.

Mrs. Kumah has asked the police to investigate the basis of Captain Smart’s claims. Her objective in seeking this investigation is to debunk any conspiracy theories surrounding John Kumah’s death.
