She explained that the company is already deep into preparations, with hopes of completing procurement and selecting a contractor by the end of the third quarter. The announcement came during a tour by the Parliamentary Select Committee on Energy, whose members visited the Atuabo facility to gain firsthand insight into gas processing activities. The plant plays a vital role in producing lean gas and other valuable by-products that support Ghana’s power generation sector. During the visit, the committee was also briefed on a recent shutdown caused by a technical fault—an issue that has since been resolved. The incident underscored the importance of redundancy systems like the proposed third compressor.
